Since the approval of Universal Studios, we have witnessed first-hand how rapidly our industry is placing real pressure on local housing and families, and how budget cuts are affecting children in our communities, which compelled us to act. As entrepreneurs with a vision rooted in purpose and long-term impact, we wanted to create a commitment that directly supports the children in the areas where we operate. That is how Stay & Support was born, an initiative that allows us to give back by donating 5% of the profit made from direct bookings across the properties we manage.
Sheerhatch Primary School is our first partner in this initiative, and we are proud to support them. As we grow, we hope to extend that support to more local schools and children's charities, creating an opportunity for our children to thrive alongside the growth that Universal Studios will bring to Bedford.
